SPONSORING A PERSONALISED BRICK
Community Contributions: Celebrating the Past; Building the Future
As we eagerly look forward to the official opening, we would also like to invite our community to be a lasting part of our school's legacy by sponsoring a personalised brick or purchasing... a piece of sports equipment. Your support will help us further invest in enhancing the experience for every student by allowing us to deliver the widest possible range of sports as part of the PE curriculum and a variety of exciting extracurricular and enrichment activities. This is a unique opportunity to leave your mark while directly contributing to the future of success in sport at our school.
We have priced the limited edition brick starting from just £35 in the hope that as many people as possible will be able to participate. You can buy dedicated bricks as an individual, family, team, group of friends or even a form. We are also hoping that some of our past staff and students would also like to contribute, so please spread the word.
All the bricks will be produced in clay with black engraving. A single brick can contain a maximum of two lines whilst a double brick has a maximum four lines. Each line has a maximum of 16 characters, including spaces and punctuation marks.
If you would like to name a brick and support the fundraising for the school, then please complete this Google Form. [LINK IN BIO]
The deadline for requests so that we can benefit from ordering all at once is Friday 30th May
2025.
Alternatively, if you would prefer to support the ongoing development of the Sports Centre by making a donation towards equipment, donations can be made through our charity giving page which includes a full list of equipment options.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference to our students’ experience.

AN UNFORGETTABLE VICTORY
for our Year 11 Boys Football Team
Last night at Harpenden Town Football Club, our Year 11 boys football team made history, winning the County Cup Final in what will be their final ever performance in the green of Simon Balle All-through School.
This ...unforgettable night was the culmination of five years of dedication, hard work and relentless commitment. Every player in the squad had to dig deeper than ever before, showing incredible resilience and unity. It was the ultimate squad performance.
In front of a brilliant crowd of friends, family and Simon Balle staff who travelled to support the team, the boys displayed unwavering trust and support for one another. The evening tested their mental strength and physical fitness to the limit. After falling behind, they showed real character to fight back, eventually winning 3-1 after extra time – with some truly special goals and standout performances.
This group of young men have left everything on the pitch and will be remembered for their spirit, passion and pride. What a way to sign off.

IT'S BEEN EMOTIONAL
Do you remember your last day of secondary school? Do you still have your signed shirt tucked away somewhere? Can you find your yearbook on the shelf?
We ticked every box on the “last day of school” checklist – and added a few touches of our own.
... Today marked an almost goodbye to our amazing Year 11 students. We hope you all had a memorable and enjoyable Leavers' Day – full of laughs, shared memories, and maybe a few tears. It's been emotional watching you grow, and we’re so proud of how far you’ve come. Good luck in the next chapter – you're more than ready.
