Our Sixth Form Open Evening offers you the perfect opportunity to begin considering life after GCSEs.

On the evening you will have the opportunity to explore the school site and visit each of our departments. Our outstanding and experienced subject teachers will be on hand to showcase their subject and talk you through the finer details of the course. Talks from our Sixth Form Leadership team will take place in the main school hall at 17.45 and again 18.45.

Sixth Form student guides are also available to offer you a tour of the school and talk about our wonderful enrichment programme.

At Simon Balle Sixth Form there are courses for all pathways. Almost 80% of our leavers choose to join university to further their studies following their time in Sixth Form. Recent graduates have successfully secured places at Russell Group universities including; University of Oxford, University of Cambridge and Imperial College London. Our students go on to study a wide and varied range of degrees from Biomedical Science, Architectural Environment and Engineering to Accounting, Nursing, Astrophysics and Pharmacy. This year, a number of students also secured competitive degree apprenticeships with companies including; Barclays and Santander.

Many of our students also enjoy studying a range of new subjects, available to them for the first time. Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Politics and Film Studies are often popular choices.

We offer a creative pathway for students keen follow their passions. Students have the opportunity to study A Level Music, Art & Design, Drama, Media Studies, and English Literature in addition to History, Geography, Philosophy, Religion and Ethics.

However, we also believe that Sixth Form should be about MORE THAN JUST GREAT A LEVELS. We are proud of our students individual talents and enjoy supporting them grow as young people. Our students have a whole host of opportunities to get involved with during their time studying at Simon Balle All-through School. Students participate in Senior Sport, Our Advanced Musician’s Programme (AMP), Model United Nations, Enterprise, student bake-offs, University Challenge competitions and lead the All-through School House system.

When applying for the Sixth Form, there is no limit on catchment area or distance from the school. Our students travel to Simon Balle All-through School knowing they have access to an outstanding education.

Once again, we look forward to welcoming you to our Sixth Form Open Evening. There is no requirement to book in advance. On arrival, you will see the construction of our new Sports Hall is currently in development. Therefore, parking in the front car park will be limited.
