Welcome to

Simon Balle All-through School

It is a privilege to welcome you to Simon Balle All-through School. Our website is intended to be a window into the highest quality of education that we offer here, and to give you a sense of who we are and our shared vision and values.

We are proud of our all-through school: one school for students from the age of four all the way to eighteen. We are known for our high expectations, first class education and our innovative approach. Our curriculum is broad, and its progressive and sequential nature in every subject ensures that children are inspired and can successfully journey through fourteen years of learning with us. We believe that there is no tension between this academic ambition for all and a holistic education which supports every young person to develop their character and sense of self.

CELEBRATING ELLIOTT'S AMAZING ACHIEVEMENTS
What a journey it’s been so far! From the moment this year started, Elliott has been nothing short of spectacular! He kicked things off with unbelievable performances, fighting for podiums and proving that he’s a force to be reckoned with. But... he didn’t stop there—Elliott dominated back-to-back races, showing his true skill and determination, earning the Drive of the Day honours and positioning himself as one of the top contenders for the British Championship in 2025.

At just 10 years old, Elliott continues to exceed all expectations with his incredible ability to handle pressure and stay focused under the toughest circumstances. Once that helmet goes on, he transforms into a different person—one who’s fearless, focused, and ready to fight for every inch on the track.

This weekend, Elliott qualified on pole at the most competitive karting event in the country for children aged 8-12. As one of the youngest drivers in the field, he has already proven that age is no obstacle to his talent and ambition.

We couldn’t be prouder of everything he’s accomplished, and we’re excited to see how far he can go. Keep pushing, Elliott – the future is yours!

GEOGRAPHY FIELD TRIP
The sun was shining, the ranging poles and clipboards were packed, ready for the annual GCSE Geography field trip to Walton-on-the-Naze! Last week, 90 GCSE geography students completed their compulsory fieldwork which they will be examined in their final summer exams. The ...students completed coastal fieldwork techniques such as beach profiles, groyne surveys and field sketches to assess whether or not the coastal management is successful in preventing coastal erosion. After being refuelled by lunch, the geographers embarked on their urban fieldwork looking at how the quality of life varies around Walton-on-the-Naze. The students completed a traffic count and an environmental quality survey at 10 different sites so that they can compare their results back at school. All the students worked incredibly hard, speaking like geographers and demonstrating geography in action!
