Welcome to Wacky Woodwinds

Learning the clarinet or flute is exciting!

We use Involve to timetable music lessons, so please make sure you have set up your account so you can see when lessons are - please see here for more information.

On the day of your lesson, please bring instruments in and put in the music room. The shelves are clearly labelled by year group and instrument.

Practice

Practice is the work that is completed in between lessons. It is the preparation for the next lesson. Pupils need to practice to keep up with others, reinforce learning and also make progress.

We expect 3 lots of 10 minutes practice each week. It builds confidence and connections at home, shows you are taking an interest and has a very positive impact. I need your help in that please, so that we have consistent progress!

Every lesson you will be emailed practice notes. Please ensure practice is completed and perhaps have a concert at home, even if just a couple of notes!

Most importantly, you must help instil the learning habits for the musicians, so that they take it seriously and achieve their best!

Practice - that is what will make the musicians amazing!
