Students in Reception to Year 4 can borrow one book for one week at a time and students in year 5 to year 13 can borrow a book for two weeks at a time.
Please note the follow processes for overdue books:
The Larch
1) The class teacher receives an automated email informing them that their student’s books are overdue.
2) Parents/carers receive an automated email informing them that their child’s books are overdue.
3) Parents/carers receive an automated invoice email informing them that their child’s books are overdue and that they must do one of the following three things:
- Return the overdue book/s to Miss Iles or the class teacher (this is our preferred option). The class teacher then informs Miss Iles by email stating that the book has been returned and the barcode number of the book that has been returned.
- Bring £5 for each lost book in a named envelope and hand it to Mrs Harding.
- Bring a replacement copy of each lost book with a post-it note on it that says the full name of the student and hand it to Mrs Harding.
Secondary
1) A few days before the due date, students receive an automated ‘polite reminder’ email that their books are nearly due.
2) Students receive an automated email informing them that their books are overdue.
3) Students receive a second automated reminder email that their books are overdue.
4) Students and their parents/carers receive an automated invoice email informing them that their books are overdue and that they must do one of the following three things:
- Return the overdue book/s to Miss Iles or Mr Belsey in the library by the end of the week (this is our preferred option).
- Bring £5 for each lost book in a named envelope and hand it to Miss Iles in the library by the end of the week.
- Bring a replacement copy of each lost book with a postit note on it that says the full name of the student and hand it to Miss Iles by the end of the week.
5) Students must do one of the above by the end of the week or they will be put in a centralised detention.
