The Celebration of Wind and Brass Concert will take place on Monday 18th November in the Secondary Hall, at 7pm.

This concert will showcase the Simon Balle Concert Band, Junior Wind Band, Brass Ensemble and Saxidentals.

Due to the construction of the new sports hall, we ask that you are considerate of the staff car park and our residential neighbours.

The safest and most convenient place for everyone is the Old London road car park next to the fire station: this car park has easier access for motorists and is only an 11 minute walk from school.

How do I buy tickets?

Tickets are now available through the parent portal and will be on sale until two hours before the concert.

Go to Make a Booking, then Music Events. Please select the correct event! Tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis and are unreserved. You will receive an email confirmation.

Tickets will also be available on the door (cash payment, no cards), but we encourage you to purchase in advance please. Performers and school-age brothers and sisters do not need to purchase a ticket, but very young children may have to sit on a lap. Please remember that this is a performance where we are celebrating what our musicians are achieving, so may not be suitable for all young children.

Where do performers need to go?

Rehearsals will be as usual after school, including Saxidentals.

Please can performers arrive for 6.40pm, and go straight to the following areas to set and warm up:

  • Junior Wind Band - Q1
  • Concert Band - Rehearsal Room

What do performers need to wear?

Black music polo shirt - this is sold by the music office, please email music@simonballe.herts.sch.uk for purchase details.  To be worn with school kilt or black school skirt or school trousers. (Skirts must be a suitable length for a school performance.) Black shoes to be worn. Black jeans and trainers are not acceptable.
